Registration Policy

Westside United Soccer Club (WUSC) offers recreational soccer and competitive soccer for boys and girls ages 4 to 16.

Recreational Soccer Team Formation and Player Placement

The intent of the club's registration practices are to ensure that all children who wish to play soccer be afforded the opportunity to play on a team.

It is WUSC and Northwest Rio Grande Soccer League (NWRGSL) policy that all children who wish to play soccer be afforded the opportunity to play. Recreational teams are put together by the local club registrars.

The registrars have the ultimate responsibility to decide who plays where. Returning players who register during on-time registration will automatically be assigned to their previous team unless they are moving from a mixed gender team to a single gender team.

Competitive Soccer Team Formation and Player Placement

Westside United Soccer Club will accept new intact teams. Coaches will determine the players for their team.

Any competitive teams joining WUSC MUST wear club uniforms.

NO other type of uniforms can be worn with out permission from the WUSC Board of Directors.

Competitive teams will have the ability to play in both NWRGSL and the Duke City Soccer League. However, all players must be dual registered and must complete required paperwork prior to playing in both leagues.

Competitive teams will participate in the Duke City Soccer League and will follow their game scheduling. All competitive games are played at the soccer complex in Bernalillo.

On-time Registration

Regular (on-time) registration begins every year on May 1st for Recreational and June 1st for Competitive.

All returning players must make a commitment with their coach and WUSC by early June to hold a spot on their team.

A registration reminder e-mail will be sent in late April to all players from last season. All Coaches/Managers should contact old players at this time, and remind them to sign up.

Late Registration Players may register throughout the summer up until late August, as long as roster spots on teams are available.

There is a $25 late fee for players registering after on-time registration closes.

Late registering players will be assigned on a space-available basis to teams as necessary to even out roster numbers.

If WUSC teams are full, the registrar may be able to help find spots on teams from neighboring clubs.
